Agent-Based Models in R.
Description
Supplies tools for running agent-based models (ABM) in R, as discussed in Gochanour et al. (2022) <doi:10.1111/2041-210X.14014>. The package contains two movement functions, each of which is based on the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck (OU) model (Ornstein & Uhlenbeck, 1930) <doi:10.1103/PhysRev.36.823>. It also contains several visualization and data summarization functions to facilitate the presentation of simulation results.

Getting Started
Installation
To use abmR
, you must first install it from Github using devtools
and load the library:
devtools::install_github("bgoch5/abmR")
# If install gives errors, try running the following:
# Sys.setenv(R_REMOTES_NO_ERRORS_FROM_WARNINGS="true")
library(abmR,quietly=TRUE,warn.conflicts=FALSE)
While this package is still in development, it will be updated frequently, so please be sure to re-install frequently. Installing abmR will also automaticaly install its dependencies, if you don’t already have them installed. These include raster
